I just found it and no longer need to buy an external device.Very happy, as they were radio silent on supporting Samsung smart tv’s that are one of the most common TVs out there.

I wonder how they are with Vizio. We grabbed Hulu for my wife during college football season, but it seems the version of the Hulu app supported by my bedroom tv won’t do live shows.

But the app was there at launch? I was able to watch The Mandalorian as soon as I got home from work yesterday on my Samsung. Samsung even has a press release talking about the launch yesterday:

The OS on your TV likely wasn’t fully up to date when you checked yesterday.

That’s odd because everything I was reading up until today indicated Samsung wasn’t supported. Well glad I didn’t order a roku.

You can watch it using a Rouku if it’s not built into your tv’s software. The roku is $25 and may make interaction with other streaming services easier.

My H itachi in the living room has a Roku built in. The Vizio in the bedroom has a Chromecast built in, but I think it’s a version that doesn’t have upgradable firmware. Buying a Roku really isn’t a big outlay though, you’re right.

It’s supposed to work on chromecast as well. I really like my samsung tv tho.

It is supposed to, but only versions after a certain vintage. I can’t seem to download and upgrade past what I have in this model. I spent a lot of tine on the web. What I didn’t do is call Vizio customer service. I lost interest after a while.
